Jacob Wallett (1994) is an artist, carpenter/joiner and builder based in The Hague NL. Originally from London, Jacob completed Batchelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry at University College London (UCL), before moving to the Netherlands to study at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK) for a Batchelor’s degree in ArtScience.

Since 2021 he has been working as a freelance builder and carpenter, specialising in custom furniture and exhibition solutions for art galleries and museums. He works with a wide range of materials and offers creative design solutions for custom, modular and expressive pieces for public exhibitions, shops, venues and museums.

In his artistic practice he makes sculptures, sometimes with moving parts, that often involve painstakingly crafted elements alongside found objects. In his artwork he is interested in how humour operates at the boundaries of knowledge, and in the intimate lives of inanimate objects.

Jacob is a founding member of Patch Studios, an interdisciplinary studio in The Hague, and former member of Livingmaps Network.
